Cecily Shakespeare is a researching field archaeologist who has excavated, studied and published numerous medieval stratified sequences in Britain, famously at Portmahomack, Easter Ross where she led research into monastic crafts. Cecily also works on legacy excavations helping to bring backlog sites to press including the Anglo-Saxon cemetery at Wasperton, Warwickshire, the Anglo-Saxon town of Stafford, the Roman bridge at Chesters and the Roman fort at South Shields.
