FAS Heritage have been working on Selby Abbey since the early 2000s, undertaking phased fabric recording hand-in-hand with the Abbey’s stonework conservation programme. The Abbey serves as a focal point for Selby, and plays a central role in the community and town. We were commissioned to prepare a CMP for the Abbey in 2024 to inform and guide the Selby Abbey Origins project which is based around the St Germain window in the North Transept, focussing on the monastic origins of the abbey.
